Titans Cheerleading

CHEERLEADING

Welcome to the Tuscarora Jr. Titans Cheer Program! Joining the Jr. Titan family will be an unforgettable experience that you will treasure long after you’ve moved on to your high school cheerleading career!

Being a Jr. Titan cheerleader is memorable, meaningful, and rewarding. Our organization thrives on unity. As a Jr. Titan athlete you will not only learn to cheer, jump, dance, tumble, and stunt. You will learn how to be a valuable and supportive team member. You will gain self-confidence, self-respect, and relationships that will last a lifetime!

Our main goal is to provide a safe, fun, and productive environment that enables our athletes to learn and apply the principles of teamwork, discipline, dedication and sportsmanship.

Our Cheerleading Program is open to children in grades Pre-K (must be 4 by September 1st) through 8th Grade. Our squads will be divided based on grade, not experience or skill level.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

With your registration, your cheerleader will receive a warmup jacket, set of poms, practice shirt, two bows, and long sleeve crop top and bloomers for under the uniform. The uniform is a rental for the season. Uniform fitting dates TBD (May or June 2024) Registration is $180 and includes the fee for the County Rec Cheer Competition - Register now!

PRACTICE & GAMES

Titans Youth Cheer will start practicing for the fall season over the summer. Practices are 2-3 days a week depending on the team and begin the end of July/early August.

Our first game is usually the last weekend in August and ends by the first week of November. Our game days and locations are determined by the Mountain Valley Youth Football League. Our closest game location is at Tuscarora High School, and they can go as far as South Hagerstown or Spring Mills, WV. A full list of locations can be found on the MVYFL website.

All program athletes enter the games for free, but all spectators (including parents) must pay the field entrance fee. Entrance fees range by location but are typically cash only and $1 for individuals or $3 for families. During playoffs, the gate fees will increase by location.

EVENTS

Titans in the Park

Our annual summer kick off event is a fun way for the athletes to get to know each other prior to the start of the season! You'll be asked to RSVP to this event so that we can plan for food accordingly.

Youth Night at Tuscarora High School

Youth Night is when the entire Tuscarora Rec Football and Cheer program walk onto the field for recognition before a high school game kickoff. Athletes get into the game for free and are invited to stay and watch. The Tuscarora Youth Cheer program athletes will have the wonderful opportunity to cheer on the sidelines with the high school cheerleaders.

Homecoming Parade

Our cheerleaders walk in the Tuscarora High School Homecoming Parade alongside the THS cheerleaders to celebrate the beginning of the Homecoming weekend activities.

County Rec Cheerleading Competition

This season we are planning on having some, if not all, all our teams participate in the Frederick County Rec Cheer Competition in October. It is an exciting new event for our cheerleaders to prepare for!

Picture Day

Each year we team up with a highly rated photographer to capture beautiful photos of our program athletes. This is an optional offering but highly recommended. The program does not benefit from picture day; as such a fee to the photographer will be incurred if you choose to participate. If you choose not to have your athlete take individual photos, we still encourage you to bring them to picture day to participate in the team photo.

End of Season Banquet

At the end of the season we have a banquet to celebrate all of our Titans athletes. More information will be provided once the season kicks off.

Kris Kringle Parade in downtown Frederick

This is our newest tradition! This December will be our 2nd time participating as a program in the Kris Kringle Parade downtown. Our athletes had a great time dressing up in our theme for the evening and cheering as we walked in the parade.

VOLUNTEERING

We are always looking for volunteers who display an extraordinary amount of commitment and determination, ensuring that our league is a positive influence on the lives of our youth athletes. Volunteering gives parents an opportunity to enjoy the camaraderie and friendship of other sports parents. Jr. Titan families are expected to volunteer in some capacity throughout the season. This is vital to our program’s success. Stay tuned for more information on volunteer opportunities!

We look forward to welcoming you to our Jr. Titan Family! GO TITANS!
